How POW PR launched The Curious History of Your Home to be featured on BBC Radio 4, The New York Times, Apple News and Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine!
The Curious History of Your Home is a new podcast from Noiser, the largest podcast history network in the world, and is presented by BBC Historian Ruth Goodman. For launch POW PR set to work using its 3 step promotion approach - podcast previews and reviews, PR and other podcasts. The range of previews achieved, including The Sunday Times, and PodNews meant the podcast launched to critical acclaim immediately.
We then moved on to researching and pitching a range of PR for the series including history titles, interiors titles and even coffee websites. The content of the series was varied and relatable making it a PR dream to have multiple angles to work with. We ensured a spread across radio, print and online to reach as many people who might love the show as possible and Ruth appeared on Radio 4’s Saturday Live and was interviewed for a double page spread in Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine.
We were on hand to react and advise on feedback and share any learnings with production who were quick to respond and give us what we needed, the perfect working relationship.
During the campaign the podcast was then picked up in Vulture for The New York Times Magazine as a one of ‘The Best Podcasts of 2024 (So Far)’ further cementing it’s production and format success.
Ruth was also interviewed for various BBC Radio outlets and we secured multiple audience aligned podcast interview opportunities including Betwixt the Sheets: The History of Sex, Scandal and Society.
Having been our first time working with Noiser we were delighted to be able to achieve such results for our client and get them the recognition the podcast deserved.
